Roxbourne Carers

Do you look after someone who is ill, frail, disabled or mentally ill?  If so, you are a carer.

The practice is keen to identify all carers, especially those who may not consider themselves to be a carer, for example those who are looking after a family member or helping a friend or neighbour with day to day tasks like shopping, as they may not see think of themselves as being a carer.

As a carer, you are entitled to have your needs assessed by Harrow Adult Care Services and a carer’s assessment is a chance to talk about your needs as a carer, especially if you are also working, and the possible ways help could be given.  This assessment also looks at the needs of the person you care for, as this may highlight areas where additional support may be available.  There is no charge for this assessment.  You can self-refer for this assessment by contacting the Reablement Team at Harrow Council at the telephone number shown below.
